Physical therapy is considered a conservative treatment and is shown to save you time and money and you are less likely to have serious side effects compared to other more invasive treatments. That’s what makes physical therapy a great place to start getting you out of pain! However, physical therapy like any other treatment has its limitations, and surgery or other treatments may be necessary for you. It may be beneficial to start or continue physical therapy treatment while you receive other treatments. We will coordinate with your physician or surgeon and refer you back to them for further evaluation or refer you to other healthcare providers if we feel it is necessary.
Boost PT Will Work With Your Doctor
For some, the thought of taking on a pain relief treatment outside of traditional medication or surgery is intimidating. At Boost PT, the most important part of our treatment is ensuring our patients feel comfortable, safe, and informed. We work closely with your physician to ensure the treatments or pain relief methods we use are consistent with your current diagnosis.
Physical therapy may help you avoid surgery or other costly or invasive treatments. However, if you do require surgical treatment, Boost PT can help prepare you, or help you recover following surgery to give you the best outcome.
